Most commercial health insurance plans cover preventative care and medical nutrition therapy. There could be a $0 out of pocket cost to you which means nutrition services are accessible.

We will verify your eligibility and benefits prior to the first appointment.

Out of Network accepted:

If you do not have Aetna or United Healthcare, we can still work with you as an out of network provider. Many clients are still able to receive significant reimbursement for services through their insurance.

We provide a detailed document called a superbill, which includes all the necessary information for you to submit a claim to your insurance company. Many of my clients receive up to 80% reimbursement for nutrition counseling sessions.

Questions to Ask Insurance:

  1. Do I have out-of-network coverage for nutrition services?

  2. What CPT codes are covered (e.g., 97802, 97803, S9470)?

  3. Is a referral or diagnosis required?

  4. What is my deductible and reimbursement rate?

  5. Where do I submit a superbill?

Insurance companies typically want a diagnosis code. Once you establish care and complete the initial appointment, We can obtain your diagnosis code from your psychologist, therapist, or primary care doctor. The diagnosis code is an ICD 10 code.
